Mahnomen Parks
Mahnomen is surrounded by natural resources and excellent recreational opportunities. Swimming, fishing, hunting, bowling and snowmobiling are all available.
Mahnomen City Park is located at the southern end of town. The park is situated along the banks of the Wild Rice River, which flows eastward on its winding way across Mahnomen County. The park boasts cheerful views of the river, along with picnic areas and playground equipment. Mahnomen's "Mini-Park" is more centrally located and has plenty of playground equipment too.Within the western half of the county lies portions of the White Earth State Forest. And just south of the county line lies the beautiful Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge, which offers great hiking and cross-country skiing.
